If anybody has sons on tiktok, I would just like to mention that there is a lot of misogynistic content on there. There are a lot of very anti women tiktoks being made and it's a breeding ground for misogynists. People like nickfosterjokes revolve their entire content around attacking women.

I had a video pop up on my phone earlier that I haven't had a chance to look at yet, from a woman called reallygraceful saying tiktok is cancelled/getting cancelled, but she believes it's a screen for something else..

The more I learn the less convinced I am that Tik Tok is a suitable app for children.

Just saw on the news tonight that it's rife with videos of teenagers promoting anorexia, with videos of their tiny portions and celebrating when their arms are skinnier than children's.

I'm not too familiar with the app, but from bits I've heard it sounds like it could be dangerous for vulnerable users.

We had a few messages from our safeguarding hub about Tik Tok. I suppose if it’s incredibly tightly monitored by parents maybe it’s ok, but I won’t let my little girl on it she’s fat too young.

Microsoft are showing an interest in buying Tiktok. I don't know whether that's a good or a bad thing. The Chinese are getting too much kick back from the US, nothing to do with safety, it's about control of data

my teen shows me the relentless stream of these tik tok teens commands & demands, dont stereotype but then they stereotype, lots of crying teens crying over minor issues, the kids take them very seriously, its a weird world.

There’s a disturbing meme with Jamelia Superstar playing and women filming their faces with words like “me imagining him holding my down by my throat” and I really worry that this is being seen as not only normal but aspirational.

I've recently deleted it from mine & son's phones. I rarely used it, but he was starting to watch it more frequently. I'd only ever seen the fun cutesy/funny little clips, until I came across a young woman's TikTok video showing the cuts and bruises she got from her partner after emulating porn-type rough sex. Horrific. That woke me up, not for kids at all. Gone.

you must agree to this or else, silly dance, normalising brutal beatings of girls, do as i say or i will cry, so thats teen tik tok. back in the day parents worried about frosties & sugerpuff adverts, this online world is more evil.

I also do not consent to my data being sent illegally to the CCP. Not only is the app a groomers paradise, it also encourages things such as suicide dares. The fact that Apple discovered that the app was copying the users clipboard every 30 seconds and sending the data to foreign servers should be warning enough

I think there is a lot of anti-western values pushed at kids on social media. My son gets all sorts of anti-woman shit fed to him on insta, and I don't think it's because he follows MRAs. I think its targeted to undermine feminism/equal society.

DD thinks that Trump wants tobuy out tiktok because its enabling coordinated action against him. Such as mass emailing his office. Also apparently there is a lot on there about the plight of Melania/Baron. I have some sympathy with her view, given how narcissistic trump appears to be.

Anyone even slightly tech savvy knows that a lot of apps are just data mining fronts.

A popular girl (teen) lesbian called @g0th1ck on tiktok has recently been "cancelled" by the hate mob.

One of her infringements is attached. She agreed that pressuring lesbians to accept transwomen was like conversion therapy. Her other infringement was talking about lesbians not being attracted to male genitals.
