Sorry to start a thread on this, but does anyone have a link to this very long list of all the ways that women's rights are threatened by proposed legal changes. Sure I've seen it on here and on Twitter but can't remember where or who posted it?

Thank you.

Here you go, from Fionne Orlander’s Twitter:

Here is a list of the Human Rights of Women that transactivism is eliminating, prepared by Gallus Mag, a blogger and writer in the women’s community...

Removing the legal right of women to organize politically against sex-based oppression by males

Removing the legal right of women to assemble outside the presence of men

Removing the legal right of women to educational programs created for women outside the presence of men

Eliminating data collection of sex-based inequalities in areas where females are underrepresented

Elimination of sex-based crime statistics

Eliminating athletic programs and sports competition for women and girls

Removing the legal right of women to be free from the presence of men in areas of public accommodation where nudity occurs

Elimination of grants, scholarships, board and trustee designations, representative positions, and affirmative programs for women

Removing the legal right of women to create reproductive clinics, rape crisis services, support groups, or any organizations for females

Eliminating media and all public discourse specific to females

Removal of the right of journalists to report the sex, and history, of subjects

Eliminating the legal right of lesbians to congregate publicly

Elimination of lesbian-specific organizations and advocacy groups

Removing the legal right of women to free speech related to sex roles and gender

Elimination of the legal right of women to protection from state-enforced sex-roles (appearance/behavior/thought)

Elimination of the legal right of girls to protection from state-enforced sex-roles in public education

Elimination of the patient right of dependent females to hospital/facility bed assignments separate from males

Elimination of the right of dependent females to prefer female providers for their intimate personal care requirements

Elimination of the human right of female prisoners under state confinement to be housed separately from male prisoners

Unlike any other social justice movement in history, the contemporary push for "Transgender Rights" (as it is currently being played out) are unique in that they are based on eliminating the sex-based rights and protections of women and
girls.

That is terrifying.

women have no voice as it IS! clearly. That it has got to this.

highame · 02/08/2020 11:00

That is even worse than I thought, but if I had thought logically, then that's the list I would have ended up with.

Thanks for that

Can anyone explain the 'legal right of lesbians to congregate publicly' one? Not sure what that's referring to.

Thelnebriati · 02/08/2020 12:36

ValancyRedfern Lesbians have been shouted at, called transphobic, and even attacked for meeting in public and saying they are same sex attracted.

There are 2 or 3 versions of these lists being circulated;

Thanks Thelnebriati. I know that but saying they can't congregate in public is a bit of a stretch from that I think. The context is I am having an ongoing discussion/argument with a lesbian friend of mine who is completely twaw and pro-self-id. I'd love to share the list with her but I know she would pounce on that sentence saying she can congregate in public with other lesbians quite happily.

BitOfFun · 02/08/2020 16:40

If it's discovered that lesbians are excluding trans women though, there'll be trouble...

ValancyRedfern · 02/08/2020 19:13

I guess that's where it gets circular. She would say lesbians shouldn't be excluding transpeople.... She also says all the lesbians she knows believe twaw and support the changes to the gra. She is a work colleague and it's been a nightmare. She is very unhappy about me 'speaking for lesbians'. It certainly has been a wake-up call for me that a lot of lesbians seems to fully on board with twaw.

Datun · 02/08/2020 19:32

Lesbians do not have the right to congregate in a place that says this is for women only, when legally, a man can be a woman - and therefore a lesbian.

They would have to prove that congregating outside the presence of male lesbians is subject to the 'proportionate means to a legitimate aim' legal discrimination.

I don't think this has ever been tested in court, though. But the discrimination that men are claiming doesn't apply to them, because they are legally women, would also not apply to them in terms of lesbian only places.

In fact, I believe, virtually every lesbian only club/bar in London has been shut down.

Same goes for lesbian dating sites. Full of male lesbians.

I know Gallus Meg was very bitter about the elimination of lesbian only places in, I believe, San Francisco?
