has had to lock down her Twitter account after being inundated with hate for saying women have cervix’s

The TRA are now spamming labour with complaints about her transphobia & demands she is sacked

I’m planning to email my support fir her copying in Keir Starmer

(And yes of course LOJ is involved!)

What bit of Canterbury does Labour’s LGBQT+ plan to occupy?
Don’t give them any ideas! They’re all on uni holidays at the moment, time to spare, would you honestly be surprised if they staged a socially-distanced sit in at her office?

Reparations, FFS, like believing in biological sex is akin to war or slavery. These children have no idea, do they.

'It is with great sadness that we have decided to put out this Statement on Rosie Duffield. '

Sadness? Oh, aye.

Freespeecher · 10/08/2020 22:44

'We saw how the Greens and Lib Dems were haemorrhaging their female members and thought we'd join in'.

'It is with great sadness that we have decided to put out this Statement on Rosie Duffield. '

Sadness? Oh, aye.

Golly yes. All Byronesque wan looks out of the window, their weeping sadness at having to put out a statement about Rosie Duffield echoed in the pathetic fallacy of the rainstorm outside their window.

Oh, how they signed forlornly as they realized her office wasn't going to respond to their demands. It was just like that time mum refused their request for Fanta in their sippy cup.

Collidascope · 11/08/2020 06:08

Good on her for not backing down and swearing to "re-educate" herself.

PearPickingPorky · 11/08/2020 12:42

@teawamutu

Anyone else think the very tacit support from de Cordova and Reeves, plus silence from Starmer, might indicate a subtle change of direction?
Yep, me.

I must say, kudos to Rosie for holding firm on this.

The brats are losing their control, and they know it. Tis a joy to behold.

ChurchOfWokeApostate · 11/08/2020 13:22

I’m glad in that statement they’re publicly calling for a response from Starmer.
He needs to be pulled off the fence, one way or the other.

highame · 11/08/2020 13:26

Allison Bailey has responded to the letter from LGBT+ Labour

FloralBunting · 11/08/2020 14:17

Wow. Just seen Buck Angel's tweet the Allison has on her timeline. I'm quite moved.

SirSamuelVimesBlackboardMonito · 11/08/2020 15:19

I saw that too, Floral, and felt the same.

CLCB07 · 11/08/2020 15:29

I think Starmer is on holiday. His phone must be pinging non-stop between this and Dawn Butler.

NeedToKnow101 · 11/08/2020 16:18

My Labour MP has responded to me in support of Rosie.

KingFredsTache · 11/08/2020 16:25

Do you know what, let them carry on. Let Owen Jones keep tweeting about this and bringing more sunlight to it. Let it make it to the BBC news homepage that a Labour MP is on the naughty step because she said 'only women have cervixes'. Let's see how far Keir lets it go.

Bring it on.

NeedToKnow101 · 11/08/2020 16:29

@NeedToKnow101

My Labour MP has responded to me in support of Rosie.
Although she still felt the need to say that she is concerned about trans rights too (without stating specifically what rights they don't have).

This is my point of view too. Let them burn the house down with their rage; maybe then the grown ups can rebuild something worth having.

Rosie has made a statement.

FWRLurker · 11/08/2020 17:08

I really think it is 100% fine to be “concerned“ about trans people’s rights. Like women and all minorities even if we have certain rights in law (Such as the right not to be raped or fired for being female) doesn’t mean Those rights aren’t regularly violated.

“What rights don’t they have”? Is the same thing MRAs say about women.

Also it’s OK for her to be “concerned about“ the rights of trans people in places where they don’t yet have eg employment and housing protections.

ListeningQuietly · 11/08/2020 17:13

And there are still posters on there who do not know what a man is.

If "only women have a cervix"
is untrue then
Please define what a man is?

Rosie has made a statement.

and capitulated.
highame · 11/08/2020 17:50

I don't think she's capitulated

Floisme · 11/08/2020 17:54

She's worded it very carefully. As far as I can see, she hasn't said 'TWAW' or made any no mention of 'reparations' so it won't be good enough for them anyway.

Floisme · 11/08/2020 17:54

Soz for random 'no'.

NotTerfNorCis · 11/08/2020 18:05

The TRAs are still raging despite the conciliatory tone because she's calling for more debate. They don't want debate.
