What is it?

LouHotel · 25/07/2020 19:56

It's basically a fanfiction with 'original' characters.

Theres several, this cant get any worse moments to choose from.

ValancyRedfern · 25/07/2020 19:57

Is this the film on Netflix? The singer Duffy wrote an open letter eviacerating it. I haven't watched it myself but I ha r seen quite a lot written about how misogynistic it is. I'm sad it's still up because I thought there were moves to take it down from Netflix.

Just googled

Fucking hell

There was a thread on here a couple of weeks ago which linked to a US feminist YouTuber dissecting it. She was great and gave enough of an overview to spare all of us having to watch it. Basically a Sicilian mobster kidnapping a woman he takes a shine to, holding her captive and lots of blow jobs and rough sex. Like the 50 shades films but with even less charm. Every feminist's wet dream, obvs.

boatyardblues · 25/07/2020 20:12

Based on a wildly popular Polish trilogy of novels apparently.

Mammyloveswine · 25/07/2020 20:47

Honestly an early scene is a woman using a vibrator whilst picturing giving a man a blow job... erm yeah cos that's what turns us on!

I'm honestly quite horrified by the whole film!

The reviewers at IMDB are giving it a good kicking! www.imdb.com/title/tt10886166/reviews

Mammyloveswine · 26/07/2020 09:20

Omg just read the reviews and one described watching it with their 3 children ages 13,11 and 9! Grotesquely inappropriate!
