Feminism: Sex and gender discussions

Another YouGov poll clearly shows that response to questions on trans rights is different when it includes the fact of whether gender reassignment surgery has taken place

I know this has been discussed but wasn't sure if anyone has seen this detail ie note the different response to the questions when they just say "transgender men" or "transgender women".

Interestingly they asked this about toilets and changing rooms but not about Rape Crisis Centres or Refuges which you would have thought are more important.

So the best that can be said after months of campaigning and awareness raising over GRA is that:

  1. Government have clearly stated that EA gives biological women to provide and receive services from other biological women
  2. That self identity is not seen as being as valid or acceptable.

And they point out:

A recent YouGov poll for PinkNews showed that by 50% to 27% Britons believe that people should be allowed to self-identify as a gender different to the one they were assigned at birth. While still a commanding lead, this figure is a slight decline since 2019 (56% to 23%).

Which could imply that campaigning for women's sex based rights have raised the level of awareness of what is behind some of the proposed changes to the GRA.
