Has everyone heard about this hopeful development? Women are joining forces across borders across the globe to defend our rights.

Women's Human Rights Campaign (WHRC) is a group of volunteer women from across the globe dedicated to protecting women's sex-based rights. Our volunteers include academics, writers, organizers, activists, and health practitioners, and aim to represent the total breadth of the human female experience.

The Declaration on Women's Sex Based Rights was created by the founders of WHRC to lobby nations to maintain language protecting women and girls on the basis of sex rather than "gender" or "gender identity".

There's a website, where you can sign the declaration and/or sign up for the newletter. Women only mind, though male allies are encouraged to show their support via donations. www.womensdeclaration.com/en/about/

I did see something about it on Twitter, and signed the declaration, but this video from the launch of the Declaration of Women's Human Rights Campaign in Sweden a month ago has only just popped up in my feed. I'm only 29 minutes in, but Sheila Jeffreys is so mind blowingly good that I had to come and share it. How I wish we had the license to speak equally freely here!

This is on my playlist for tomorrow, thanks OP. I have heard of them and seen a few things here and then but will read up more now. Looks promising!

Have signed up to this. I can see a distinct advantage to being part of a global group. I hope they get a lot more signatures

There have been some brilliant webinars and talks . They have included feminists from all over the world and there are some surprises about which countries are the wokest. Norway for example.

Every woman should read this and sign up.

I have started to watch this. I love the phrasing of masochisticly sexually excited by imitating women just after the 1 minute mark.

And there it is. That is the foundation of this movement in a nutshell. Now of course, it has grown to more than this. Thanks to the kindness of people to be inclusive and bring in two spirit people and dysphoria etc.

But why would you ever want to support a movement that was based on this.

The WHRC webinars have been my Saturday go to during lockdown. So many interesting and informed women speakers. While it's hard not to feel despondent about the erosion of womens rights, or even the ability to formulate them in some countries, it's also inspiring to hear so many women speaking up and joining forces across countries and cultures in order to support each other.
