I loved his series as I have a deep interest in politics and its beyond extraordinary that the ERA was not ratified within the deadline. And because subjects like this should more often be the subject of programmes.
Its also interesting because the ERA was relatively uncontroversial and promoted by the republicans until a woman - Phyllis Shleffley - started women's opposition to it (despite wanting a career herself and facing huge amounts of sexism). It also illuminates the rise of the ultra-conservative right which is only too apparent today.
And personally I agree with Suzanne Moore about what feminist wave you're in. I'm in the women's rights wave. Full stop.
and if you do watch it. You'll want to try wearing your glasses another way - a la Gloria.
