I am fuming and this thread may well be removed. Why on earth do people suggest listening to Munroe Bergdorf or Paris Lees as the voices of trans women?

One modelled for Playboy and the other thinks being wolf-whistled and eye-fucked is cool. Enjoying being sexually objectified apparently is not only a positive part of the experience of being a woman but also qualifies you to lead the Women’s March and makes you a feminist.

Grrrr

TWAW coming from men-who-want-to-sleep-with-trans-women-without-being-thought-of-as-'gay'-because-they-are-basically-homophobic does make sense.

Why women are chanting it, though, remains a bit WTF.

Let them be the voices of trans women; it's when they speak for 'all women' that it gets annoying/dangerous. If trans women aren't happy with them as self-appointed spokespeople (and I hope/imagine some must find them unbelievably tiresome at the very least), they can sort it out themselves.
