I'll just let these tweets from Privk News' CEO speak for themselves.

Last year, @BorisJohnson told @PinkNews that he was committed to the LGBT Action Plan launched by @theresa_may and @PennyMordaunt. This included reforming the Gender Recognition Act. We're asking him to keep his promises with an open letter here t.co/3X47wodwKz

At @PinkNews, we've built our own advocacy technology called @PinkNewsAction, which we're putting live today. This was made possible thanks to a €300k grant from @Google. Expect more open letters, petitions and lobbying activity to come from @PinkNews t.co/OgpCmqaBMx

What is their preferred endgame here?

Lobbying for the removal of sex based Safeguarding and women's rights.
Pink News lobby not just on behalf of transactivists' sex self id but also for commercial surrogacy arrangements.
Their focus is promoting policies which are to the detriment of children and women.

Lamahaha · 14/07/2020 10:22

I just changed to DuckDuck -- I had tried it once but now I've made it default.
But -- what about gmail?
Someone said they read our mails?!!!??
Not that I have anything particularly secret to say, and I hardly ever discuss GC stuff there, but I've used it for decades and actually love it. Would be difficult to leave -- though I would keep my account open for archive purposes.

Yep.

Never forgotten someone (was it OJ?) insisting sniffily that feminists just didn't want gay people to have children. Apparently, suggesting that using women as human incubators might not be in the best interests of those women is homophobic. And lesbians never have kids. Never ever ever. Hmm

It's eyewatering, the levels of sheer contempt some men have for the most basic and fundamental of women's rights.

Michelleoftheresistance · 14/07/2020 10:39

Does anyone have any links for Google intercepting emails to MPs? If so, I'd really like them as will be raising caine to my MP. Via gmail.

Also contempt for Safeguarding children and Vulnerable Adults.

Lumene · 14/07/2020 10:45

Yes where is the thread on google intercepting emails to MPs please? I will be writing to mine about this ASAP. That is all kinds of wrong if it can be shown to have happened.

FantaOra · 14/07/2020 10:47

Gendered intelligence were reviewing users of their MP spam letter to filter out anyone who had rewritten it. Spam from anyone is a bad idea.

FantaOra · 14/07/2020 10:48

There's no thread about Google intercepting letters.

PennyNotSoWise · 14/07/2020 10:57

Their end game is stripping our rights and identity from us by forbidding us to say we're women, whilst claiming the identity and rights for themselves. I don't give a shit how much they deny they hate us, they're not going after men like this. It's always "TWAW" and no mention of TM (because they're only women). It stinks to high heaven.

This has made me feel sick. First Reddit, Twitter, now Google. For the most oppressed, most ignored, most at risk group that's ever walked the face of this Earth, a teeny tiny % of the population, they aint half got a lot of power Hmm

This isn't a trans rights movement. They have adequate rights, just not ours. This is a men's rights movement.

OldCrone · 14/07/2020 11:18

@endofthelinefinally

Because they monitor, record, track, share and sell every little bit of information you record. They read and intercept emails. Most recently emails sent to MPs regarding women's rights. There is a thread here somewhere. It is quite scary.
Can you post a link to this thread?

I think it is this one, but I am in the middle of a webinar atm so haven't got time to read through it all.

current thread:
mportant interview with Kelie-Jay Keen.

Jackie Doyle-Price MP has already spoken out in parliament on the need to protect women's rights & Safeguard children. The interview concludes with Jackie Doyle-Right urging women to write to their MPs.

52:42
K-J K "How do people approach their mp? What do you think would be your advice ?"

J D-P "Well, write to your MP, but I can tell you that MPs pay a lot of attention to what arrives in their inbox. You know I get upwards of a hundred items a day.
You'll find that some campaign organizations are very good at organizing campaigns. Actually I don't take any notice of any of those. Everyone sends the same letter, completely useless! So you just go through the motions responding to that.
But, where people write their own letters and make their own case and it is the individual constituent telling me what they think from their hearts, I take notice.
*So, I would encourage every woman who's really bothered about
this to put pen to paper to your member of parliament. And tell them what you think because once MPs realise this is something that people care about, they'll make it their business to get involved.
So, my message to women everywhere is use your voice and tell your MP what you think and then hopefully they'll come and find me out and we can see what we can do." (continues)

I actually just swapped over to Duck Duck Go. Most ads are gone from sites and everything loads super fast. It's been great.

Makes me glad to have recently switched browsers and I’m in the process of switching over my email accounts to something else.

thecompletenonsequitur · 14/07/2020 13:12

I use Firefox on my mobile (android) and laptop, with duck duck go as my search engine. I ignore all things Google.

It is. Why is this shit being encouraged by google? Don't they have policies against spamming people?

OldCrone · 14/07/2020 13:17

Thanks, endofthelinefinally, but I can't see anything in that thread about google reading and intercepting emails.

One thing that google has done recently is move the data they harvest from UK users to the US, which means it's outside the GDPR jurisdiction. I no longer use gmail because of this.

DianasLasso · 14/07/2020 14:38

This thread has been the kick up the arse I need to change email provider, for entirely pragmatic reasons.

We know that google "reads" your email content (or rather their AI bots do, the better to target advertising at you*).

We also now know that twitter etc. are banning women for using phrases like "adult human female", "TWATW", "only females get cervical cancer" and that Change.org have taken down a petition which draws attention to the sex-based nature of rape and sexual offending (90% of victims are women, 98% of perps are men, but apparently it's "discriminatory" to mention this).

How long before the authoritarian oddballs behind big tech connect the dots and start running AI bots to interrogate private emails for "women are adult human females" type "hate speech" and start suspending accounts?

It may be dystopian, there may only be a 1% or even a 0.1% chance of this happening, but it's not a risk I can take if all my banking, purchases, accounts with electricity companies, etc - all the stuff that makes my daily life run smoothly - is under that account name.

Protonmail here I come.

If anyone thinks this is tin-foil-hattery, I realised just how specific their algorithms were a few years back when I was shooting the breeze with a fellow scientist about our respective work - and suddenly an add for an incredibly specific, incredibly unlikely piece of scientific equipment popped up in the sidebar. No way* that was random chance.

Whatsnewpussycat - "I remember reading some conspiracy theory years ago, that the male billionaires were all so bored they were trying to socially engineer humanity to just to see if they could fuck us up. One big game.
It's fucking real"

Transhumanism? Pretty sure I read the same thing as you, featuring Martine Rothblatt, the richest business"woman" in the world.

This was not it but still . . .

"The Transhumanism Revolution: Oppression Disguised as Liberation"
Libby Emmons, July 11, 2018

(Extract)

"Transgender advocates will answer that we are more mind than body, and this is what makes transgender ideology an essential component of the drive toward transhumanist acceptance, whether transgender advocates realize this connection or not (a Twitter search reveals that many do). The ongoing effort to change language, and redefine ‘male’ and ‘female’ so they refer to something other than sexual dimorphism, is designed to establish a Cartesian mind-body dualism in which the mind can dominate body to such an extent that personal subjectivity can decisively contradict biological reality. Transgender practice is the ultimate biohack. The claim that one has been born into the ‘wrong’ body is a total rejection of mind-body unification, and a statement that mind and body can be so disparate that the body must be thoroughly altered to match the mind’s perception of how it ought to be.

Contrary to popular perception and much of the transgender movement’s own rhetoric, transgender activism is not about compassion and dignity. Although transgender advocacy is couched in the language of oppression and identity, the idea that it is merely the latest facet of an ongoing civil rights struggle is a misconception. In the current cultural climate, to question the concept of transgenderism is to question the right of trans individuals to exist. This is an extremely effective strategy that deters the skeptical from digging into an ideology by labelling them bigots for doing so. But the implications of transgenderism are so serious and far-reaching that questions must be asked. At issue is not simply societal acceptance of people with alternative views or lifestyles, but the most fundamental aspects of what it means to be human.

It is no anomaly that the movement is hitting its cultural stride in the debate over pronouns. The first step in changing how we think about our bodies and what it means to be human is to change how we speak about these things. Transgender speech codes demand that we renounce our bodies’ basis in biology, and instead consider them constructs of arbitrary (and somehow unjust) societal expectations. We are not to think about ‘mother’ and ‘father’ as reproductive terms, but as culturally specified relationships. This aggressive effort to change and police the use of language, and to redefine terms like ‘male’ and ‘female’ to deny the sexual difference characteristic of all mammals, is designed to uncouple mind from body and humans from evolutionary and reproductive logic. Instead, an ideology of emotion is to be given dominion over biological reality.

With the widespread acceptance of human augmentation, bio-tech, AI, and transgenderism, we are removing agency from the human body, and granting it entirely to the mind. But our humanity lies not in our consciousness, but in the biological bodies from which that consciousness arises. It is our bodies that suffer pain and spectacular sensation, and that feed our minds with data about the external world and our relationship to it. In its various forms, transhumanism is an attempt to reify an illusory mind-body dualism that has consequences well beyond what we can currently imagine. This is an idea that is advancing without a constituency. As long as transhumanists are the only ones focused on the issue, they can effect enormous changes in the absence of a large constituent base, because ethics conversations lag behind huge advancements in tech and identity politics.

But concerns we perceive to be on the fringes of culture, or esoteric and only vaguely relevant to some distant future, are in fact part of a giant ideological redefinition of humanity. If we do not attend to these debates and their implications, we are going to awaken one day to find that developments have overtaken us, that it’s too late, and that our bodies are of no importance. What we forget is that the mind must serve the humanity of the body—in suffering, joy, pleasure, pain, tickles, itches, even death. Without that submission, the mind is nothing but ego, without any checks on its power or influence. To be a mind without a body is to have no relationship to the physical world, and no stake in it. If we perceive ourselves and others to be disembodied minds piloting meat machines—bodies of mere matter that do not matter—what horror will we be capable of inflicting on the bodies of others? When we renounce our humanity, we forget what it means to inflict pain and to suffer."

All email unless encrypted like Proton can be read. There's no direct evidence that Google did this in relation to the trusstme spam bot however; it was Gendered intelligence that did that, and as people used their widget to send the email they were able to.
