Bernadette Hyland is putting up posts on her blog "Lipstick Socialist" about the Irish in Britain Representation Grou , of which she was a very active member in the 1980s and 1990s, including three years as Ard Cathaoirleach (national chair). Pat Reynolds is writing a history of IBRG. The latest post on 1985 includes the case of IBRG member Dr Maire OShea, a psychiatrist, who was arrested under the Prevention of Terrorism Act. After a vigorous camapign in her defence she was cleared of all charges. lipsticksocialist.wordpress.com/2020/07/13/history-of-the-irish-in-britain-representation-group-by-patrick-reynolds-part-5-1985/. The defence campaign is featured in this video from November 1985.
