This is a brilliant article. It would be very helpful if people could share it as widely as possible. The debate in Scotland is far from over and we need all the support we can find. Thanks.

It's a fabulous article. Happy to share it.

Aesopfable · 11/07/2020 12:43

That is very good. Takes no prisoners.

wellbehavedwomen · 11/07/2020 12:52

Brilliant, brilliant piece. Takes absolutely no prisoners in standing for women's rights to self-determine, organise, and represent our own interests.

Are the Scotsman generally good on allowing a diversity of thought? It's impressive, given what we hear about the climate of thought and opinion up there.

FannyCann · 11/07/2020 12:54

I really enjoyed reading that. Brilliant article.

Especially the final couple if paragraphs.

No punches pulled! Flowers

This is brilliant forwomen.scot/did-you-know/

It lays out all the arguments very clearly, with links.

What a fine article. The Orwellian overreach of the transgender movement along with its bullying tactics has exposed to the population at large precisely what this ideology is like.
And the population are deeply unimpressed.

HandsOffMyRights · 11/07/2020 13:06

Superb.

efeslight · 11/07/2020 13:07

That is clear, simple language that is not full of jargon. What a frightening world for women and girls at the moment

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 11/07/2020 13:10

It's a very good article.

While reading it earlier, I accidentally clicked on a link embedded in it to another article which was entitled something like 'Everything you need to know about ...' but was actually what often passes for journalism these days - a cut and paste job from Twitter with minimal context or analysis. Numerically, the tweets quoted seemed to indicate that JKR was outnumbered. I have to place my trust in the common sense of my fellow Scots and hope that they actually read what was quoted and applied their common sense. The vacuous virtue signalling of actors desperate not to be 'cancelled' is not necessarily persuasive when set against nearly 4000 words from one of the world's most successful writers who has clearly read widely on this subject.

classicspring · 11/07/2020 13:17

Brilliant article.

GCGayDad · 11/07/2020 13:20

OMG, this is fantastic. I don't think I've ever seen a piece on this issue in a mainstream outlet that so clearly refuses to pull its punches.

"Scrape away some trans women’s make-up and underneath you will find the same misogyny that has stunted the lives of women and girls since the start of human evolution. They and their allies have decided what is good feminism and what is bad.

"And by decreeing that their brand of feminism is better than that of women like Julie Bindel and JK Rowling, they are doing exactly what men have done for thousands of years – telling women what to think.

"Meet the new boss, sisters. Same as the old boss, but in heels. Only this time, we won’t get fooled again."

Slightly off-topic, but the article mentions that Beatrix Cambell has now left the Green Party. Does anyone have any further info on this?

Siablue · 11/07/2020 13:23

What a brilliant article. It is so fair. I hope more people read it and understand.

SheWhoMustNotBeHeard · 11/07/2020 13:28

Brilliant article. Thanks for sharing.

@Cismyfatarse

This is brilliant forwomen.scot/did-you-know/

Those photos alone sum up so much. But when you read through all those facts you would have to question the mentality of those that support this especially any political party.
UncleShady · 11/07/2020 13:32

Well written.

queenofknives · 11/07/2020 13:39

That is a terrifically good article! I love that she is moving the debating points away from fucking toilets to issues like violence and education. It would be great to move the conversation there and just see what these activists have to say about actual feminist campaigns...

It's really important that this message gets across in Scotland as the government are still wanting to push through self-ID in all areas.

Great article.

AmericanSlang · 11/07/2020 14:25

This is a great article, it's factual and reasonable and proper journalism. It's what The Guardian would have printed once upon a time, before they became the trans ideology's Pravda
