I know she is mostly famous for skincare but this was tweeted by Caroline Criado Perez. It is about the government's misogyny in the choice of treatments allowed. Beard trimming OK. Eyebrow plucking not.

Anyway. I had never seen her but she is magnificent. Enjoy.

yeah, but she gave JK Rowling a hard time for stating the bleeding obvious, so I can't really forget that. She walks the path of least resistance and goes for what she perceives to be the popular vote.

I didn't realise that. I had heard of her, but never seen her.

She is wonderfully angry though. Very entertaining especially when she starts talking about her HRT and swearing.

What did she say about JKR? The usual?

Bloody Karen thing. It makes me so angry. My two (young adult) children were discussing it the other day and I overheard them running through a list of people who are 'Karen' which made me furious.

I have tried to tackle them about it but they see the world through young eyes and don't get the misogyny wrapped in ageism. One is a girl too!

I am not sure where it came from or how it gained such momentum.

JKROWLING is my Queen. So, no argument from me about CH being vile in spite of the wonderful rant.

There is an interesting point there, however. It is OK for men to want to look good but women doing so are silly flighty things who can wait their turn.

I followed CH on Istagram for a while for skincare routines (around the time Trinny did joint make up applications with her).. The woman terrified me. She is SO LOUD and scary when she starts ranting which can be about the smallest thing. She reminded me of someone I went to school with who was a bully who was eventually expelled. I unfollowed her after hearing her threaten somebody for putting a tattoo on her daughter.

ie a tattoo artist who 'inked'? CH's daughter (who was underage at the time).

I don't really do Instagram but clicked through from Twitter.

Hilariously Caroline Criado Perez commends Caroline Hirons but doesn't know CH is 'famous' and has lots of followers.

My ASC pre-teen plays Roblox and I heard him say "No Karens allowed here" (in the role play game) when playing with a friend. I was baffled at the time because I had no clue. Next time he says it I will have a discussion with him. Ugh. It's insidious.
