Thanks Bluebooby hadn't seen it before. My jaw is on the floor, poor woman and also her roommate just standing by. TRAs are definitely escalating, hope women can stay safe.

Does anyone know anything more about this? It sounds insane. The victim-blaming in some of the responses is also deranged.

I think I read on there that she might have known some of them in real life, but regardless it's very shocking. I suppose it will just be added to the list of things that never happen/ed. The victim blaming reminds me very much of some of the responses to JK Rowling. I don't understand how heartless some people are.

It is shocking that this happened and even more shocking that some TRA’s a crowing about it. Some even said she deserved it for being transphobic?

Buck Angel was very supportive of the woman who was targeted by the cowards.

So, from my recollection (and these can't be the total incidents)
We've had a lesbian in New York punched in the face at a gay bar by a transwoman for saying she doesn't want sex with someone with penis, we've had a transwoman punch a 60 year old woman in the face for attending a meetind, and we've had a transwoman and their fellow activists go into a black woman's home to beat her nearly unconscious for saying "i don't want to fight you".

Can people please stop saying "misgendering is violence", and "it's bad from both sides".

I'm not sure whether to include TW Fallon Fox who fractured a woman's skull and badly injured another, and gloated about how much they enjoyed it on Twitter.

It's absolutely despicable.

Remember when a transwomen got punched in France that one time, and it was front page news on the BBC? But a whole group of TRA beat a black woman half to death and nothing, not a whisper? If this had been a group of feminists beating up a transwoman (which has literally never happened and almost certainly never would) it'd be headline news across the world. But male on female violence, no matter what clothes it's wearing, is excused and hidden. How anyone can support these people and think they're on the right side of history is beyond me. And we're supposed to welcome these people into spaces where women are vulnerable? Give me a fucking break.

Those of us who've been watching this situation for a long time said this would happen. TRAs are escalating from threatening violence to acting on it, just like we predicted would happen when the wheels started coming off the bus.

I hope the young woman who was attacked was OK, and that she presses charges. Probably won't result in anything but would be good to have a record if the same people try the same shit again. And BTW, this? This is why some of won't play the pronoun game or the "well they're kind of women in some metaphysical sense" game, because once you do that it's a short skip and a jump to "well we're just two women fighting, what's the problem with that?"

That poor woman, and her flatmate just standing by and doing nothing?! Someone remind me again how TRAs aren't against women's rights?
