Andrew Moffat (No Outsiders) at it again

Andrew Moffat, creator of the No Outsiders programme, is at it again. Publicising posters (that purport to show the protected characteristics) being sold to schools that replace “sex” with “gender”.

Thankfully his Twitter feed is full of sensible people pointing out the deliberate mistake.

Funny that everyone making the comments about the Equality Act saying sex not gender are instantly blocked by Andrew and the other guy who I think designed it.

Of course it was fucking deliberate.

Are we finally going to find out who was responsible for all the fraudulent EA2010 lists of protected characteristics that replaced sex with gender that were circulated to the councils, schools, and businesses?
Women are still contacting councils and businesses when they come across yet another example of policies that misstate the law.

We need to alert the DfE for them to advise schools. The teaching of Relationships and Sex Education becomes mandatory in September and many schools are ill prepared. This is the kind of material they will grab and stick up in their classrooms and foyers. Andrew Moffat is vey well known in Birmingham especially and his work on No Outsiders is widely used, most of which I support. This however cannot go unchecked!

Serious questions need to be asked about an educator who deliberately rewrites the law in materials for children, despite being repeatedly told what the correct protected characteristics are. What else does this man who is so keen to discuss sex and sexuality with children also misrepresent?
Being accurate and truthful when working with children is a fundamental principle. Why would anyone gaslight children like this? It's incredibly serious.

Isn't one of the main complaints against Moffat (by parents) that he lacks communication? He's well known for imposing things and ignoring anyone who questions him.

He’s not stupid because he put the wrong word on the poster, he’s stupid because he deliberately put the wrong word on the poster and thought no one would notice.

I can't help wondering whether a charity, which has appointed itself to the task of educating about the Equality Act, writing out one of the protected characteristics in this way could be in breach of the Equality Act:

13 Direct discrimination

(1) A person (A) discriminates against another (B) if, because of a protected characteristic, A treats B less favourably than A treats or would treat others.

Just a thought, but was the Baroness targeted at Booker because of her persistence in pointing out the law.

I’m really very concerned about the influx of faulty information being fed to our schools. There are multitudes of organizations being given access to our children and young people and their work is seriously lacking in facts and some of it is downright dangerous.

Why are our head teachers not on to this? Why is it that an organization puts in a rainbow lanyard and they are given access to our children without schools investigating robustly the actual content of their resources???

His work is also promoted to neighbouring schools and trusts on social media by senior leaders at his MAT, then also shared by some very senior educators (including those covering Warwicksire, and we all know that LA's history with dubious school sex ed guidance).

I want to email the charity about this as a teacher but I'm too scared to use my work email. I'm sure this means they'll dismiss me as a crank who isn't really a teacher. It's utterly maddening.

He's re written the preface of the NO book to include sex. He's lying.

He's teaching children lies.

What is his deal? He knows it’s incorrect and yet he persists. He has an agenda I assume. Who died and made him god of facts?

Serenity he’s an advocate of Queer Theory - smashing “heteronormativity” is the aim. If you read Shelley Charlesworth’s dissection of the No Outsiders programme there is some deeply disturbing stuff - talking about how teachers should be allowed to express themselves as sexual beings - to Primary school aged children!

Beer the problem is that DofE have been very slack about giving schools full guidance on the teaching of RSE/PHSE. As a result these groups have been able to push their “guidance” forward as a way to help already overstretched teachers.
