There is a good article on rollonfriday this morning about Stonewall's attempt to gag Bailey.

Good article and the comments are encouraging.

I love the caption for the screenshots of the tweets!
"Bailey and a few messages from people who probably didn’t donate".

That's the best article I've seen so far. Articles on other media outlets have wanted to fit only a subset of the available facts into their preferred narratives while Rollonfriday are just going with an account of what's happened.

I'm pleased about this because there were a group of us tweeting to the Rollonfriday twitter account suggesting they should take a look.

I don't know a single woman lawyer who doesn't harbour serious concerns over this movement, and the impact on women's rights. It's not at all that they oppose trans rights either. They're just sufficiently legally informed to recognise collisions of rights when they see them, and to understand the range of harms legal erasure as a sex class, and legal erasure of a right to organise, be recognised, and be alone together as a sex class, could do.

I hope Allison Bailey realises how loved and appreciated she is. That fundraiser has exploded in a way no other has. And as a commenter noted, silencing a black lesbian, for the crime of wanting a separate org for those with same-sex sexual orientations... not a good look, is it? Are all the trans-specific orgs also hateful, for excluding the LGB?

That cracked me up, too.

Loved their chosen tweets as well. They're not fucking around, are they?

Not sure if that is reassuring or terrifying.

It’s a good article, clearly setting out what happened and the absurdity of it. The caption for the screenshots was perfect. Grin
