I know I'm not the only one wondering about the views of certain people while scrolling through Twitter. There are a number of people I am hopeful about as they have been openly pro-woman and have been tweeting about women and girls but not quite speaking up. Judy Murray is one and I'd love to know her view on it all, being in Scotland too. Who else are you hopeful for or wondering about?

Serena Williams - coming back from pregnancy/c section to compete, breastfeeding whilst training.

She wasnt allowed to wear an outfit that was designed to assist from her having complications from her pregnancy (blood clots?) So imagine her rage if transgender women were suddenly allowed to compete with their built in advantage.

Judy Murray did seem to ‘get it’, can’t remember if it was an article or a tweet but then concluded that transwomen were welcome in the ladies toilets or something like that. I’m sure someone will remember more accurately.

Oh yes, good one! And she has been put forward to me as a reason to allow tw compete with women because of her naturally advantageous strength Hmm

Baroness, that's good to know. I was off twitter for months and must have missed it.

Another one I was hoping for was Deborah Meadon..

Jennifer Saunders.
Joan Collins has said before that women don't want men in our toilets, but I'm hoping to hear more on this.

Pretty sure Jennifer Saunders retweeted JKR? Yes I am watching and waiting for JC too. JKR did say she has had support from others who are too wary to speak up.

Agree would be great to see Deborah Meaden speak up, she's very vocal politically

Both Williams sisters are well aware of male sporting advantage. They claimed they could beat any man outside the 200 male rankings. One at 2003 challenged them, and beat them 6-1 and 6-1 in succession. He'd prepared by playing some golf, and having a couple of drinks. They then said they would alter that ranking to 350, but the man who beat them pointed out he'd been there not that long ago, and might well be soon again. He said that male strength and size meant he was able to reach shots other women couldn't have, and that he was able to put a level of spin on his own shots women couldn't counter. The suggestion that reducing testosterone levels alone could remove that advantage... it's just bonkers. And that's without the reality that the level you have to reduce to is still massively below the one normal in women.

Of course, Serena William's husband co-founded Reddit. So who knows what her views are.

Worth watching Serena Williams for sure.

Interestingly, Sami Hughes has retweeted an otherwise innocuous tweet re the irrelevance, and the error, in constantly referring to JK as a billionaire... Makes me wonder if she's an as yet silent supporter.

wellbehavedwomen

I vaguely remember the guys name was Karsten Braasch.

I was lucky enough to see some womens doubles and mixed doubles at Wimbledon a couple of years ago. The womens matches saw long rallies whereas the mixed matches were more fast and furious as the extra power meant more winners.

Both good to watch but very different games.

Michelle Obama!
Oh and Joanna Lumley.

Heygirlheyboy · 23/07/2020 23:10

Oh good ones Toseland!
