Telegram looks pretty good. I'm loving all these alternatives to Twitter etc.

Apparently some ridiculously high number of tweets are in fact bots, not humans. I think it would be much better for humanity if twitter ceased to exist... www.pewresearch.org/internet/2018/04/09/bots-in-the-twittersphere/

So any alternative seems good (although may be subject to the same problem I suppose, although probably not at first)

sometimes I wonder if there are certain politicians who would be very happy with this, too. And whether they might even encourage some of the more extreme batshittery on Twitter to hasten that outcome.

Anyone who has had my kid laughing his socks off (starting with Father Ted then the IT crowd) for the last 15 years (since he was old enough to watch TV) is cool in my books.
