Hi, I saw a thread about this but can't find it now. I am talking about the new PSHE curriculum from September, which includes various "gender" type things.

In the thread, I think the advice was to ask your school if they are using an external content provider to meet this curriculum requirement. I emailed my sons' primary school and they said they are using the PSHE Association to support them.

Does anyone have any information about this?

I think I am going to send a Transgender Trend booklet in to my older children's secondary school. I have had discussions with them in the past about the genderbread person and similar that they have been teaching as "fact" and the person in charge couldn't see any issue with it. But I was just wondering if I need to speak more to our primary school or if they are likely to be ok?

The information they sent out for the consultation they are required to do sounded OK. It did include on a list of bulletpoints "Gender stereotypes" (keystage 1) and then "Gender and sexuality" (keystage 2). I would love if they teach about stereotypes and not conforming to them! Just a bit more concerned about gender and sexuality!
