I’m fed up of the double standards that every piece of language relating to women needs to be inclusive. Is inclusivity women’s job?

Men (erection-owners) are not playing their part. They need to step up and help with inclusivity.

I noted on the Durex website it talks about men and their penises. It talks about women too. I think we should campaign to have all the gendered language removed. Bring inclusivity to the masses. Who’s up for a campaign against Durex for their transphobic language?

I think LadBible, Nuts, Zoo and GQ should be next.

Why is it that everything women-centric is being lost yet most things to do with men are staying the same? Perhaps a big campaign in which we tried to reduce men to "ejaculators" in the same way as we've bee trying to reduce men to "cervix havers" is actually exactly what this debate needs. Men need to see that the way we're being treated is reductive and perhaps something like this would begin to show them.

Well it is only people who ejaculate who need durex (including people who shed virus and transfer bacteria)

Yes def change to ejaculators. Why wouldn’t you? Not all men have penises! Some men have periods! I am having a period out of my penis!

Maybe send them some of the excellent SRE material outlined on Transgender Trend - they are not up to date and their customers will not know what the are talking about.

I agree that Durex needs to be more inclusive to transwomen in their communications (out and proud) and it would be interesting to see the men's reactions.

However, I don't want sex based language removed if that is what you meant? I don't want to be called a person who has a period etc. Is that what you meant?

That's why it was very interesting that Daniel Radcliffe said "transwomen are women".

More appropriately and on point he should have been declaring "Men can get periods too".

But he didn't say that did he. Wonder why?

It does get a bit complicated if you remove 'gendered language' like man and woman - you need a bit of a list of bodily functions and exceptions going really. Maybe a spreadsheet?

TRAs have been trying to confuse things by claiming (biological) women also ejaculate.

I suspect it's because TW aren't fighting to be included in campaigns that are currently aimed at men. TW want to distance themselves from being perceived to be male so they are not demanding that campaigns targeting men also include TW because it would be a continual reminder to everyone that these categories of people share much in common.

When Movember start their annual fundraising push in .... November in support of Men's mental & physical health, will they come under pressure to use more inclusive language? A quick look over their website shows it uses very man focused language, but the issues they cover effect transmen and transwomen too.

Testicular cancer = men & 80%transwomen
Prostrate cancer = men & transwomen
Men's Mental health = men + transmen

BTW, I don't want them to change, but it just seems so unfair that men get to freely use the word "Men", where as women don't get the use women.

Ejaculators neglects those men who can't ejaculate. Can we not just avoid using the word man/men for those born with male bodies by just calling them people with a penis, or for brevity just a Penis.
