Thanks GoddessArtemis. It was a collective effort with a few other women.

Cheers for the bump Redshoeblueshoe!

There will be more from Scotland probably but some of the people will put uk so there's more anonymity I would have thought.
Just because there's less chance of the tra tracking them down if they are a name from the uk rather than the much smaller population of Scotland.

NonnyMouse1337 · 30/06/2020 00:12

Yup, that's true Ginkypig.

Hello everyone!! We have given the website a bit of a revamp so it includes a few more topics in addition to the Open Letter supporting JKR.

womenspeakscotland.com/

One awesome woman has worked hard to put together a glossary of terms and a summary of all the crowdfunding projects to date. I think it's a great resource, so feel free to use/share the documents as well if you find them useful too.

Even though the hostility towards J. K. Rowling might be considered 'old' news to some, our open letter is still up if anyone wishes to sign it. Smile

Thank you so much to all who signed and publicised it previously. We are up to 1427 signatures in total with 370 from Scotland.

Nonny great website, just been for a look and signed open letter.

gardenbird48 · 11/09/2020 09:08

this is brilliant NonnyMouse - have you got good technical advice on protecting the website from attacks and protecting the letter etc? Obviously there are various means that are used to take down servers and hack/attack etc.

So great that you arre taking action though - I realised this morning that I feel so frustrated that I want to shout a warning to my friends (and all women obvs) and their daughters about the danger we are finding ourselves in but they don't want to hear it.

NonnyMouse1337 · 11/09/2020 09:17

We've had the occasional juvenile keyboard warrior, but generally it's been fine.

I shall update the list of signatures as soon as I can, so you might find a delay in seeing your names appear. Smile

Delphinium20 · 11/09/2020 16:46

Signed. A bit fearful due to my work, but JK Rowling would do it for me, so knowing that, I pulled up my big girl pants and signed.

NonnyMouse1337 · 11/09/2020 17:14

Thank you, Delphinium20 and others. Flowers

Signed. Thanks for posting this.

The womenspeakscotland.com site also has a useful page summarising all the legal cases that are currently crowdfunding to protect women's rights and free speech.

Very valuable and detailed list. And also links to the crowdfunders, which are well worth supporting.

Someone asked me the other day what were all these legal cases she'd heard about for feminism. I realised there are now so many I couldn't remember than all.
