Scrapping the Gender Recognition Act?

Just seen Gendered Intelligence on Twitter talking about the proposed scrapping of the GRA.

Is this being proposed? I thought it was leaked that it was going to stay as it was, its just some proposed reforms like Self ID that will probably not be adopted.

If the whole act is going, that is a significant change isn't it? Anyone no any more? Or just a mistake?

They are twisting words - I thought the scrapping was of proposed CHANGES to the GRA.

The TRAs are up in arms because as far as they were concerned, the changes were a given, so they see the non changes as the taking away of rights that were never theirs in the first place!

"Scapping of the Gender Recognition Act" is being relayed by Gendered Intelligence, not necessarily Rebecca Middleton's wording. I don't know her writing, and I'm not on LinkedIn at the moment.

Yep, twisty little weasel words. If called on it they'd excuse themselves with 'only 280 characters, had to edit, everyone KNOWS what we mean, blah, blah, feckin' blah.
