There have been threads about the shopping Centre in Hanley making their toilets mixed sex ( which I think they have revoked) and the nasty tweet from Body Shop to JK Rowling... well I give you this... oh dear.. what a shame ... never mind

Oh dear what a pity.

Well, in my letter to their CEO about their vile trolling of JKR, I did say "I sincerely hope this is your Ratner moment."

Sorry for the people who have lost their jobs here, it's not their fault. But hte company itself - much deserved.

Awww boo hoo

*sorry for job losses though

So sad, too bad.

But again, horrible news for the staff. Hopefully they can get a job somewhere with a bit more sense than to ignore/throw to the wolves their core customers.

You need to be careful using phrases like 'two birds, one stone' because the full version of that phrase is 'killing two birds with one stone'. Given that certain ideologues think that 'crucifixion' via strong criticism means actually wanting to nail an individual to a cross, this might be interpreted as a call to projectile missile-based violence against as many targets as possible...

FloralBunting · 25/06/2020 14:01

'Ethical' retailers don't usually tweet women who disclose sexual assault suggesting a nice bath and a book all about the group currently threatening further dick-based violence, tbh. Yes, I am sorry for the staff, obviously. But ethical my arse.

Do we have any clue at all what Anita Roddick herself would have made of all this?

Beamur · 25/06/2020 14:13

There's a touch of shadenfrude to this.
Not so great for the staff employed at that branch though.
