Just seen this article on twitter. Does anyone know if the Statement of Interest issued by the DOJ has any effect on other states?

A small step in the right direction.

Fingers crossed this becomes the norm and Selina Chelsea and Alanna no longer have to be spectators in their own sports.

Amd I hope they go one step further and reinstate all records that have been smashed by biological males and re list the deserving girls!

What are ACLU playing at claiming a transwoman is female? I know there's a massive push on to colonise everything previously reserved for women, but female is a biological fact, not an idea in head of a teenage boy.

Natural progression of their strategy. When I first became aware of this issue, I thought those women talking about female erasure were a bit OTT and a bit extreme. My views were much more moderate. But in just three years, I have observed it happening more and more.

First get organisations and companies to accept that men claiming womanhood are women, then when they - inevitably - turn to using male and female to make the distinction they previously made between men and women, start attacking that language.

Because if, say your product is a period app and you're trying to gain customers with helpful, topical articles on your blog of which a good part is always basic education about your subject, then you're going to be talking about female biology. A lot. And Clue, for instance, last time I looked, now apologises for doing just that after almost entirely eliminating all instances of the word woman in their content. Apparently, they're still working on on eliminating mentioning female biology when talking about menstruation. Of course, much of their text is now a nonsense. 80% of people do not suffer from PMS. My sons don't, my dad doesn't. In fact, no male person I know does. If it was that common an experience for humans, you'd think I would know a few human males with PMS. Alas, the only "people" I know who do, are women and girls. Must be my limited horizons, I'm sure.

FAOD, I am now where those women were. Female erasure is happening right before our eyes.
