Lib Dem Cllr

I've encountered a Lib Dem parish councillor on Twitter this week who is closely involved, it seems, with some of the more aggressive trans activists. This is something she said to me yesterday. Apparently women's fundraising for other women is a sign of ego. Or worse mental illness needing professional help. Her name is Dr Marjorie Bark and she is a Lib Dem Cllr in a place near Cambridge.

She doesn't seem happy with women generally. I don't know how she represents them. The Lib Dem's have a real problem with some of their elected representatives and views of women.

You could complain to the head of the council and to the LibDem office in your area.

I think there is a complaints mechanism about councils or councillors too - is it an ombudsman?

Let us know how you get on x

Have to say when i read that piece by Marjorie Bark, above, I saw a 'male' voice straight away...and assumed they were trans. Photographic evidence also points to that fact.

The talk of 'fetish' and 'enjoying a bit of harassment on the side', were dead-give-aways.

Justhadathought · 24/06/2020 13:31

Even if 'they' turn out to be actually female, just find that a very odd way for a woman to speak. Doesn't ring true at all.

Doctor Bark is apparently a cis feminist and has just commented on this thread on Twitter.

Ohgooditsthethoughtpolice · 24/06/2020 14:00

I didn't realise the deaths and sacrifices of thousands of people was a laughing matter.

What is a 'cis feminist'?

Maduixa · 24/06/2020 14:17

What is a 'cis feminist'?

"Cisgender feminism" (often abbreviated to cis feminism or simply feminism) is a term for feminist theory and praxis which stems from and is largely consistent with the lived experience of those belonging to the female sex, as observed at birth. Cis (Latin): "on the same side as", is the converse of trans (Latin): "against, across from, in opposition to." The term (cis) feminist is the opposite of the term anti-feminist.

@PronounssheRa

Wow. I rarely come here - but that didn't take long did it? What is it about mums and women generally - speaking together that scares them so very much?

Hi jean

Yes they found this thread very quickly, almost suggests this board is constantly watched.

It's weird and suggests people lead very boring lives.

I think it might actually offer a bit of a thrill too.........a bit of frisson.

Beerincomechampagnetastes · 24/06/2020 14:41

Dr Marjorie is a truly awful human being and severely disliked by their colleagues by all accounts.
It doesn’t surprise me that they monitor this board, they really don’t have much else of merit going on it would appear.
You’ve probably made their day op! They’ll feel frightfully important now.

Justhadathought · 24/06/2020 14:43

The Lib Dems have increasingly become a really weird bunch of mis-fits/odd bods, of one sort or other.

SirVixofVixHall · 24/06/2020 14:47

I saw that on twitter “fetishing the suffering of women” by fundraising for NIA ?
So is the RSPCA “fetishing the suffering of animals” ?

SirVixofVixHall · 24/06/2020 14:48

The LibDems have become an absolute joke of a party. They are like something out of Private Eye now.

Ninkanink · 24/06/2020 14:48

C** is an offensive term.

I am not a subset of something a man has decided he is.

I am a woman.

Ninkanink · 24/06/2020 14:51

Not even going to give this individual’s absolutely ludicrous mutterings the time and effort of commenting on them.

Utterly repugnant character, judging by these comments.

FeckTheMagicDragon · 24/06/2020 14:58

I voted Lib Dem for decades. Then they sacrificed all their principles for a chance to jump into bed with the Tories. Now they are so woke they betray 51% of the population. I told them this when I left. I’m sure it made not the slightest bit of difference. The part is a has-been, never really was a contender. I’m sorry I wasted so many votes on them.

To put it another way, ‘cis’ is sexist term that TRAs use to label women, AKA adult human females, in order for male bodied people who identify as trans to appropriate the term women.
SunsetBeetch · 24/06/2020 15:16

What a strange person... which is probably why she joined the Lib Dems Hmm
