There is something very unpleasant about a man believing he's entitled to abuse a woman but will fight another man who tries to abuse the woman as well.

Perhaps LOJ can kick off the fulsome apologies after he accused her of playing the martyr, and once he saw his sentiments reflected back to him on the front page of the Sun, feigned ignorance even when the screenshots from him and his co-zealots were displayed.

Jesus, these people are quite literally the Pharisees of their day, fulsomely praying in public for the praise of men, and thanking god every day that they are so much better than all those other people.

The Sun did not attack her. It was a very sympathetic article which made clear what a piece of scum her ex- husband was and allowed her opinion to be reported.

I doubt she was surprised the ex ran to the tabloids, who did a hatchet job on him.

Providing a platform for the abuser is never sympathetic to the victim. It is exploitative.

You want my honest opinion? They're only angry about the Sun story because Rowling's ex admitted on record to hitting her, so now they can't say that she was making it up.

If they had any concern for her wellbeing, or indeed for common decency, they'd be condemning those within their own ranks who've been flinging violent threats at her on Twitter.

Yeah, this was my thought too. Rowling also mentioned that she'd been the victim of a serious sexual assault, but no one has really been talking about that, because a man hasn't come forward to confirm it.
