His Tweet over the weekend should peak-trans any woman:

“I don’t think it’s a coincidence that in the midst of a literal uprising of collective Black struggle, an anti trans rhetoric that is rooted in white women’s ability to weaponise against other marginalised communities sees a surge. Clever recentring. This is also white supremacy”.

So white women "weaponise" against other minorities?

It's the white feminists beating up transwomen and people of colour, clearly. We saw it all over the television news, white feminists throwing punches just everywhere.

Remember Travis Alabanza is the person who thinks that dressing up as a 15 year old "slutty" girl is appropriate. and demanded to have access to women's changing rooms at TopShop, because he was feeling oppressed in the men's changing rooms.

They're getting desperate.

Trying to associate "keeping men out of female spaces" with racism.

Miserable fuckers.

WomaninBoots · 15/06/2020 15:09

I'm pretty sure there's plenty of black feminists discussing and seeing this issue from a gender critical perspective is there not? And plenty of white feminists who are not! It's almost like "white women" and "black women" and even "women" are not just one homologous mass. It's almost like they are all complex humam beings in their own right.

Shocking.

White women are the root of all evil at the moment. Despite the fact that what I feel I can see out in the world is just so many different manifestations of male violence...

skql · 15/06/2020 15:24

i'm not white...though

and i think blame person's skin color for shutting down debate is ill.

and lot of pp of color(and i hate categorized that.) don't like that either.

actually lot of poc notice that some is using that tactic.

ThinEndoftheWedge · 15/06/2020 15:30

Yes - because reducing women and girls to the bodily functions of ‘people who menstruate’ and ‘menstruators’ etc really helps women and girls in lower income countries to be given dignity and respect.

No link here at all...

CatandtheFiddle · 15/06/2020 16:21

Exactly - to presume that feminism is only for white women is incredibly racist, and very very narrow in the understanding of the global position of women.

In global terms white women (and I am soooo white - positively Celtic) are the minority. The majority of women are of colour. And they are as much involved in feminist arguments about women's safety as white women in the UK.

Alabanza is a racist misogynist, I think.

I'm not white and I'm a feminist who believes women's rights to safe women only spaces and women-only competitive sport is important. I also believe in the concept of biological women.

Yeah. We keep seeing reactionary movements on both sides of the Atlantic being driven by suburban white women exploiting their social status and "fear" to hurt Black people, trans people, etc. It's probably the new locus of reactionary ideology.

goodthinking99 · 15/06/2020 21:36

I've noticed the tone of tweets linking pro-women stances to racism becoming much more overt, picking up on the unbased alt-right accusations, and coming from people who I may once have put in the 'agree to disagree' with category...it is quite troubling, when taken along with the open ageism often on display. I see the Black Trans Lives Matter marches and think yes of course they do, and should be rightly protected...just not via dismantling the rights of women, as a class defined and oppressed by sex.

That is such a good way to put it.

Hating women is not cool in the new woke world but just add the word 'white' and its all ok again, like magic.
A gift from the gods for a guy like Travis.

Enderthedragon · 16/06/2020 11:23

Yeah, it's just another way to shut us down. They have latched onto the LGB movement and milked that for all it was worth, that now appears to not be working, so now they are latching onto BLM. Travis and his ilk are flailing and are at the stage now where they are just chucking out key words, any words, that they think might help to silence women.
