About men who want to access to single-sex spaces for women and girls

I am worried about men who want access to single-sex spaces for women and girls, and children. For whatever reason.

Especially the men whose response to women's concerns about women's safety and the safeguarding of our children, is "Suck my dick", "choke on my lady dick", etc.

Am I being unreasonable, here?

No you are not. I said to DH this evening if all these people are coming into the ladies I think I will use the men's.

As I've said before,
Any adult males DEMANDING complete access to female only spaces are exactly the kind of males we need protecting from.

Same goes for those wanted to dismantle any child safeguarding.

I've thought this for a long time. Realistically, the majority of men will just want to use the men's. Indeed, most men will feel uncomfortable at the thought of making women uncomfortable and would rather use the men's! Any with ulterior/sinister motives will want to use the women's. Therefore the safest place for women is in the men's.

I'm struggling with this. I don't get the logic at all.

At its core it can only be an argument for the complete abolition of all sex segregation, but its not, nobody seems to be arguing for that even though they are.

I can't get my head around the logic. I know the view on this board is that its entirely without logic but at this point I would genuinely love to have a good faith discussion about this with a trans advocate to get to the bottom of it.

Women: I dont want men in private spaces because there is a small minority who might rape me.
Some Male people: i demand entry into your private spaces and if you say no I'll choke you with my penis.
World: bitches be crazy. Be kind, they probably will not choke you with their penises.

Thinkpieces: I'm trans, and me. I. Me me and my struggles.
Women: but, what about if one of those rapey types turns up...?
Thinkpieces: imagine thinking about your own concerns, Karen, when there are other people you could be thinking of instead!

Normal people: this is just Twitter nonsense, everyone knows it could never happen here.

I dont know the end to the script

I'm amazed, over and over again.

@7Days

That's not my experience, my experience has been more a plea for safety. With the current GRA that sort of works if you limit it to GRA holders (although I know that's contested and I understand why) but these are the same people who want to get rid of the oversight of the GRA. I don't understand.

I have thought for some time that the goal is to drive women and girls out of the public sphere by abolishing all sex segregated spaces.

That is why MRAs embraced transgender rights as promptly as they did.
In the UK the government supported transgender advocacy organizations have made huge progress in schools transitioning potential Gay and Lesbian children.
If you listen to what each group says it becomes clear that the authoritarians want obedience and the narcissists want validation. The homophobes want Gays and Lesbians transitioned. The misogynists want women dependent on men for survival.

I disagree that the women here consider transgender advocacy illogical. It makes sense. It is the arguments they make that are illogical because if they told the truth everyone would know.

How, in practice, do we limit to GRC holders?

And given that it's not possible to change sex I do not want any males in my changing rooms.

Indeed, I think there are multiple motivations on both "sides" of this debate. On the anti-GRA reform side you have the Christian Right, the conservative right, the actual radical left, gay and lesbian rights activists and radical feminists. Now they are very different groups but you can pluck somebody from any one of them and ask them what their reasons are and you will get a straight forward answer and one major overlap in the venn diagram of reasons which is that sex matters and is immutable.

As far as I can see the same doesn't exist of the other side of this debate. There are no cohesive arguments, no unifying overlap, no agreement on any general principles at all.

There's a thread in AIBU an Intu shopping center in Stoke have made their toilets gender neutral.
Well obviously only the female ones, the men's remain unchanged.
