I shared JK's article on my Facebook the night she posted it.

I got 3 supportive comments and one person who, when I very gently challenged her as to what exactly in the article was transphobic, simply didn't respond. I assume because she couldn't find anything that was transphobic.

I refuse to be lectured about what a woman is by a man. It’s a lived experience, not a feeling.

There no room for any discussion in this society - you agree or if you don't your made to grovel and publicly apologize. People need a pound of flesh for the discomfort and outrage of being disagreed with. That is why it would be professional suicide for me to be gender critical in real life. The silencing is exhausting.

My sister has just shared the Spectator article. Her younger FB friends are being mildly patronising and emphasising the need for education and understanding and "being kind". They do not get it.
