Professor Kathleen Stock. Good to hear the discussion on BBC mainstream.

I missed it but heard the only email they read out afterwards which was something like "I'm an intelligent woman, but I have no idea what the professor was talking about". The presenter also implied there was equal online abuse from both sides. I sighed & switched off.

Yes, the prof used words including ‘cis’ etc. The gender reassignment act and self ID wasn’t really stressed. Could easily be confused to be about transphobia rather than maintaining sex as a protected thing. You know what I mean! I’m still getting to grips with this!

BBC radio 4 news have reported the open letter from JKR as news and given it a pro-woman slant I'd say.

I didn't hear it. If it was Kathleen Stock then she totally knows what she's talking about and I think her written stuff is great. But explaining it on mainstream radio is a different skill altogether and I'm not sure if an academic is the best fit.
I wish they would get Lucy Masoud on more often - she's sets it out so very clearly.
