The JK Rowling stuff has made me very cross and I find myself over here on feminist chat.

Can anyone recommend any books on this topic? I find myself more frequently in debates with others on the topic of feminism and I want to educate myself more so that I don’t get shouted down like I often do.

I'd start with the 'break it down for me' thread and for books try Invisible Women. It will make you angry as you realise the misogyny that occurs everywhere, it's not about trans anything, just the differences between men and women. There are threads about it if you want to read more before buying.

There are different 'versions' of feminist, some that include men and put them at the very centre, there is also a lot of infighting in the 'movement', so I'd hang around, read and engage with the women here and see how you feel as we don't all agree...and that's ok x
