@PamDenick I was about 13 or 14 in a science lesson at school. I bled through my bottle green skirt whilst sat watching the male teacher do an experiment at the front of the class. It was summer. None of my friends or I had a jumper. I had to borrow the male teachers jumper to wrap around me so I could leg it to the office to get my parents to pick me up.

I used to miss several days of school every month because I bled so heavily that even chunky maternity pads couldn't control the clots and gushes of blood. I had to suffer this until I was THIRTY EIGHT when I had my hysterectomy (October 2019)!!!! Never being able to leave the house without knowing where my "safe" places were. Places where I knew I could change.

Having my husband load our mattress onto his van in the middle of the night so he could take it to the tip early the next morning so my neighbours couldn't see it.

I can go on and on with these defining moments.

Don't tell me that men who believe they are women know ANYTHING ABOUT MY LIFE AS A WOMAN!!

I emailed her my support too and got a reply back from her people v quickly. Either they work v late, they're a very sophisticated bot, or there's a huge team of them based somewhere in the US. I can't decide Grin

@PamDenick - I also bled onto my school skirt - everyone noticed and laughed and pointed.

I bled through my trousers at work.

One fun day in the loos at work, I got tangled up with my security pass while juggling (not literally) with sanitary products - ended up having to wipe blood of that too.

I have fibroids and the heavy bleeding means I have low iron and I'm losing hair by the handful. I am on the list for an endo-ablation and it can't come too soon.

I've also emailed & had a reply this evening. Good to know she (or her team) know that there are so many of us behind her

Please keep your examples of how your experiences as a ‘person who menstuates’ has affected you.
If DR or any of the charities he supports wants to redefine me and my lived experiences then they’ll have a fight on their hands...

Thank you, Joanne. I am so very proud of you for sticking up for women. It took courage, of that I'm sure. Your courage has made ME braver and more determined.

My daughter who is a great HP fan sends thanks too.
