Is this appropriate?

So women's Aid Leicestershire have just posted this link:

www.thesun.co.uk/news/11663289/woman-stalking-bbc-dj-death-threats-you-will-die/

Whilst I don't doubt this must have been terrible for the man and his wife involved, why would they post a story from one of the most misogynistic newspapers of all time about a man getting stalked? Surely this would imply (to some), that women are just as likely as men to do this sort of thing and the level of fear men feel from women is on a par with that that women fear of men?

Or am I over thinking this and its absolutely appropriate for a woman's charity to do this?

That is really odd!

Stalking is wrong whoever commits the crime. Both Peterson and his wife were harassed and intimidated by her. Other papers did cover it though.

It is a bit strange - do they link to every story about stalking or only those about famous people.

In context it's part of a current stalker awareness campaign. It's not the only case they refer to. Possibly it's the most recent celebrity/ high profile case although there was yet another incident affecting Emily Maitliss relatively recently.
