I don't expect to agree with her on every issue but watching women being silenced by TRAs is something I cannot accept. Look at their attempts to defund Mumsnet. So she has my full support.

When policing women who have a view on DV that isn't shared by others are we sure that they haven't experienced it themselves? I don't know anything about the Baronesses personal life, but neither do the people claiming she doesn't understand.

The Baroness is the best thing that's happened for women's rights and girls' safety since, well... Martina and Sharon. Now it's going mainstream and she will have access to the ears and intrays of those who simply file ordinary women's concerns into the 'copy and paste answer' pile.
More power to your elbow Baroness. ( such a strong word too, 'Baroness.' There's Power in the Plosive!)

It took reading the Relationships forum on here for me to properly understand why a woman would not feel able to leave. I got my arse kicked hard on a different forum many years ago for asking a similar question in ignorance. Unless you have experienced DV or work with women who have experienced it, it is hard to understand how an abusive partner systematically destroys the woman’s confidence and support networks. I feel better informed now, but can understand how others might get it wrong.
