news.sky.com/story/elon-musk-and-grimes-welcome-baby-x-ae-a-12-'

How lovely, little baby x-ae-a-12' can just grow a vagina or a penis when they know what sex they want to be.

So much better than all that messy being born a man and having all that surgery.

Apparently you can just choose whatever sex you want to be now.

I wonder how many screwed up rich children with daft names there are going to be in the future.

If his father had a child with his step sister, wouldn't the mother and the child both be his step siblings??? Confused

Lordfrontpaw · 06/05/2020 17:42

He is his own step brother?

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 06/05/2020 17:54

So the babies Aunt is also the babies Grandmother?

TyroSaysMeow · 06/05/2020 18:08

That's grim. And is definitely worse than hobbits!

MockersxxxxxxxSocialDistancing · 06/05/2020 18:39

Errol Musk, 71, and Jana Bezuidenhout, 30, have a son Elliot. Jana is the daughter of Wife No.2. Elon, son of Wife No.1, is therefore Elliot's cousin, half-brother and step-uncle.

Antibles · 06/05/2020 18:45

I thought it was amusing that she's all woke and progressive about gender etc but the baby's last name is Musk.

A good point.

Chiyo666 · 06/05/2020 18:46

Grimes goes by “C”. She technically she doesn’t have a last name to give as she legally changed it.

Antibles · 06/05/2020 18:47

There’s a kid who is going to change his name to John Smith and run away from home to become an accountant.

Grin I really do hope so.

Antibles · 06/05/2020 18:48

They could have made the surname anything. Why stick with tradition for that?

Chiyo666 · 06/05/2020 18:51

Really? You’re so super duper feminist that you think people should make up a surname rather than give the baby a mans surname? Please. You wouldn’t be saying anything if they had given him the mothers surname.
Strange how you’re all so keen to start a thread bashing these people when you don’t actually know anything about them.

Womanlywiles · 06/05/2020 19:00

They are the ones putting out their opinions, beliefs about gender and unusual baby name in the public domain. Both of them.

Womanlywiles · 06/05/2020 19:06

Humans are extremely social animals, gossip is how much of human life functions, otherwise Twitter, Facebook, Mumsnet and newspapers would not exist. We are literally obsessed with connecting. It's how we survive. Being a loner, completely uninterested in others is seen as extremely sad and the worst punishment for humans is social rejection and isolation, solidarity confinement being the most extreme.

Suchanaughtydog · 06/05/2020 19:08

I'm my own grandpa.

Chiyo666 · 06/05/2020 19:11

You can be interested in other people’s lives without being a cunt about it. I’ve never felt the need to slag off people I’ve never met, and ridicule the name of a newborn baby.

merryhouse · 06/05/2020 19:30

@CaliforniaMountainSnake I thought sex was determined by whether the sperm carried a Y or X chromosome?
...it's slightly more complicated than that.

Most people are either XY and male or XX and female, but (iirc - I have not studied this formally) various environmental things can trigger different parts of the development process and cause non-standard forms.

(Which is why I wish people wouldn't talk about chromosomes in this debate. There are male bodies and female bodies, and there are some bodies which don't exactly fit into either category, and we don't need geneticists to tell us which is which.)

MockersxxxxxxxSocialDistancing · 06/05/2020 19:37

Some people may call it Middlesexist, but calling someone Middlesex is a polite fiction when they were assigned a London Borough at Birth.

TyroSaysMeow · 07/05/2020 13:55

You wouldn’t be saying anything if they had given him the mothers surname.

Very true.

Because giving a baby its mother's surname makes sense and isn't a covert way of indicating that the baby is owned by a particular, named, man.

Errol Musk has known his step-daughter since she was 4. He is sick.
