These Are Not Our Crimes

TheUterati, who was one of the first FWR women to be banned under the New Rules, has made a video listing over 70 male prisoners who claim to be women and their crimes. It's not an easy watch but it's a very important one.

To understand why the focus has moved onto children, look to the YouTube discussion between TransYouth Family Allies executive director Kim Pearson and transgender activist Autumn Sandeen, who states:

“I’ve always said there are two groups that are going to make change in transgender legislation and the “gender identity and expression” related language in legislation. It’s going to be trans youth because … they demystify it and take the sex right out of the trans experience.”

Pearson responds with:

“Right. And it’s hard to say no to kids, and the needs of kids and “keeping kids safe”. And you know, “being respected in schools” and things like that. It’s really hard for people to say no to that.”

From what I can gather, Kim Pearson is the American Susie Green, and seems to think it's fine that men with a fetish should use vulnerable children as cover. It's a shame the video is no longer available, but maybe they had second thoughts about being so open about this.

Welp, I've been out of action ill so have only just watched this. Holy shit. I knew about a lot of the individual cases - and indeed it was the issue of male-bodied people being sent to women's prisons after committing violent crimes that first got me emailing my MP some years ago - but to see them all listed as starkly as this is quite salutary.

It's a grim watch but a necessary one.

Arty Morty is my new favourite kid on the block. Like his style a lot. Factual, compassionate and conversational. No nonsense. Big fan.

In absence of sport hitting the headlines I think crime stats and recording are the next most relatable vehicle for illustration of these issues. It's a shame that stats are so utterly messed up by GRC etc.
