Hello, everyone! I have a request for those in the Mumsnetverse and Spinsterverse. Will anyone who was banned from Twitter because they mentioned or spoke about 'Jessica' Yaniv answer these questions?

What was the tweet?
Did you appeal?
Was your appeal granted? why? If not, why not?

I ask because I was thinking about Meghan Murphy and what a scandal it is that she was banned from Twitter while the person she was talking about in this screengrab remains. Silencing women on behalf of their techbro mates is bad enough, but Twitter is putting its thumb on the scales in an ideological argument and I'd love to bring more attention to it. #letwomenspeak

I didn’t even get the chance! Twitter wanted to verify me via text as soon as I liked JKR’s tweet. My personal account was just a month old and going well, and I was not going to give my number to keep it completely separate to my business one.

You can’t tell me twitter are not using JKR’s tweet as a sorting hat.

When this happened to me, I wrote an email from the address I used to set up the Twitter account and told them I didn't want to use my phone number, and a few days later I got a short answer and my account was good to go...

Glinner, this probably won't help, but I have found that young people are more receptive to the views of their peers... "Ready To Glare" does some delightful videos (re: J Yaniv) on youtube..The series is exceptionally informative, but don't let's go into it with a love of Elmo...

My like of jkrs tweet has vanished. All the other times Id checked it was still there. I feel like Ive passed the initiation test now and can now consider myself a full member of the GC community.
