"We are delighted to announce that a high court judge has looked at the case against Oxfordshire County Council (including their defence) and found that it is arguable that their Trans Inclusion Toolkit is unlawful. The case will therefore proceed to a full trial later this year.

We understand that the Director of Children's Services and the head of the Council's legal department who fully supported the implementation of the kit (which was reviewed & approved by Oxfordshire Safeguarding Children's Board) have either left or are in the process of leaving.

This case is of crucial national importance. If the court decides in favour of the 13 year old girl who is taking legal action, other toolkits and resources that have similar elements, and are supported by Allsorts, Stonewall, and others are likely to also be unlawful.

All the background and press coverage can be found at safeschoolsallianceuk.net. We would like to thank the teenager for taking this step to protect the safety, dignity and privacy of all girls."

See their Facebook and Twitter accounts for details.

Good work everyone

Nappyvalley15 · 18/04/2020 13:26

Great news. Well done SSA!

MangoesAreMyFavourite · 18/04/2020 13:42

They didn't listen to us, we said we wouldn't drop it. I don't think they believed us.

Nevertheless, she persisted!!

Big thank you to all those persisting!! Flowers

Freespeecher · 18/04/2020 13:55

The bit that jumped out at me was that the kit was 'reviewed & approved by Oxfordshire Safeguarding Children's Board'.

As far as I can see, none of the resignations have come from said board. One to watch?

stumbledin · 18/04/2020 13:56

Congratulations! Not only good in this specific case but a warning to any other councils who have fallen for the trans agenda. Smile

Shehesheesh · 18/04/2020 14:17

I’m not legally minded but a ‘full trial’ will involve what exactly?

RedDogsBeg · 18/04/2020 14:23

Good news and how bad are the optics for the TRA ideology crew that a 13 year old girl brought this case? It will be interesting to see how/if the usual suspects attack and dismiss her and her concerns.

ahagwearsapointybonnet · 18/04/2020 14:31

Great news, well done!

T0tallyFuckedUpFamily · 18/04/2020 14:34

That news has got me right out of my down mood. Thank you.

VladTheImp · 18/04/2020 14:34

Oh god, she’s coming to my area Sad Angry how is she able to change/secure a new role when the department she was in charge of are basically being taken to court?
Is there anything I can do or look out for 2fallsagain?

Massive well done to you all for taking them all to task though and especially the 13 year old who has more guts than many (myself included) sorry you’re having to go to trial but as others have said hopefully all these cases will shine so much light on this problem there’s nowhere left for these people to hide.

R0wantrees · 18/04/2020 14:40

This is the culmination of about 18 months work which started when two of us in Oxfordshire (supported by a group of about 100 people) started challenging the OSCB (which is incidentally chaired by a Barnados Director). They didn't listen to us, we said we wouldn't drop it. I don't think they believed us.

Thanks to all involved (who understand Safeguarding clearly) Flowers

Banardos director?

Whatsnewpussyhat · 18/04/2020 14:42

the OSCB (which is incidentally chaired by a Barnados Director)

Total infiltration of all childrens charities and services is a major goal of the TRAs

TalkingtoLangClegintheDark · 18/04/2020 14:45

Fantastic news! And yes, a huge thank you to all at SSAUK and especially the 13 yo girl taking action here; real bravery and leadership.

Coming on top of the Arla Dairies news, that’s quite a positive week in the war on misogyny!

TalkingtoLangClegintheDark · 18/04/2020 14:53

Banardos director?

We used to support Barnardos. I was gutted when I found out how fully on board the TRA train they are. It was really important to me to give to a charity that supports abused children, so finding out they are actually complicit in this form of child abuse themselves was a real kick in the gut.

Does anyone know a charity that works with/for abused children that hasn’t signed up to this? I still want my donations to support vulnerable children but the ideology seems to have captured so many groups. NSPCC is obviously a non-starter.

truthisarevolutionaryact · 18/04/2020 15:32

Well done SSAUK.
It will be so important to have this all this argued out in court.

Xanthangum · 18/04/2020 15:45

I'm pretty sure The Reign Collective www.reigncollective.org.uk/our-history-and-mission/ have a fairly sensible view, but I'm not sure they work nationally.

Me too ☹️☹️☹️

Brilliant news!! Thank you for sharing and thank you to all those standing up for the rights and equalities of girls.

Soontobe60 · 18/04/2020 18:16

I can't quite believe the letter that Peter Tatchell wrote in support of what is tantamount to child rape as shown on the SSAUK article.

Good news from Safe Schools Alliance
Dhalandchips · 18/04/2020 19:49

Christ! When was that @Soontobe60? 'Beneficial'???

WTFSeriously · 18/04/2020 20:49

Soon, that expression is eerily similar to one expressed by John Money, the 'eminent' professor who experimented on twin boys, one 'reassigned' a female gender ID following botched medical circumcision. Who also abused both boys during his so called therapy sessions.

Well done to all at safe schools alliance. Absolutely brilliant job. 👍

Michelleoftheresistance · 18/04/2020 20:55

'But the child enjoys it' has long been the justification used by abusers, to try and rationalise away their own guilt and avoid facing the reality of what they are doing. It's another version of 'if you didn't make me angry I wouldn't have to hurt you' and other such refuges of dysfunction to avoid taking responsibility for themselves, their behaviours and their ill treatment of others.

WTFSeriously · 18/04/2020 21:09

Exactly. I've started a thread on the article that was taken from as it's well worth a read and off topic to the excellent achievement by SSAUK. Do have a look (thread about David Reimer).

KatieAlcock · 18/04/2020 21:11

Really pleased to hear this. I'll have to have a think about how this relates to my case.

WTFSeriously · 18/04/2020 21:16

That's hopefully going to add to your arsenal, Katie. 👍
