The Scottish consultation on this has been publish. As a reminder this would allow an organisation to say all was fair if half the representation had a female sounding name on their gas bill regardless of their sex:

The main response was around the definition of ‘woman’ and use of ‘gender’ not ‘sex’

Well done and thank you to all the women who noticed this consultation and took the time to respond. The number of objections to the ongoing use of gender in place of sex cannot go unnoticed, even if they continue, for now, to try to ignore it.

Interesting that they noticed differences between individuals and organisations. That those organisations no longer represent women’s views is becoming starkly apparent.

This.

As with the DV discussions when it became apparent that the organisation spokespeople's official line was not what service users were saying, and the Scots Parliament meeting where it was stated that it's important the service users are the ones consulted with and heard.

You can hold funding etc over the heads of organisations to politically capture them and compel their speech. Service users.... not so much.

I hadn't managed to find the actual responses - will go back and see if they published the organisations responsesm
