Just read that Starmer has appointed her to the shadow home office working on domestic violence and safeguarding.

I know Jess has had add previous work experience with domestic violence but I can't remember whether she was one of the MPs who signed the Labour party's trans pledge?

I'm seriously hoping not if safeguarding is now going to be her responsibility!

"I'm sure I saw an exchange on Twitter where Jess Phillips was horrified about Karen Ingala Smith's application being rejected and said she was going to look in to it."

Sadly, a bit more dilute than that - On being asked 'Did you see
Karen got refused membership of Labour? What do you make of that madness?' she responded with "Someone told me last night, seems odd, happy to raise it" . Slightly less than horrified, I'd say Sad - just "odd".

Thanks WhereYouLeftIt. Yes, surprisingly restrained - memory playing tricks with me! I hope she does "raise it"!
