It is what made me think that the tenure with Mermaids might be short-lived, as Bergdorf seems to have a knack of hitting the self-destruct button asap after being taken up by an organisation and then makes the ensuing shit-storm all about them.

That's a definite pattern.

I know that’s the usual pattern but this is Mermaids. They don’t give a flying fuck about safeguarding or children’s welfare.

Hmmm - ignorant, anti women, anti science, undermine child safeguarding, bully women, advocate for porn and drag queens .... I'd say they're the perfect match.

I''m not sure what's more inappropriate.....Mermaids approaching MB or MB approaching Mermaids-either way this is a terrible decision from a safeguarding point of view, but good in the long run as will show Mermaids have not got a clue about safeguarding children.

Don't forget TRAs want Mermaids to be run by solely trans adults....mostly male inevitably.

I don't know why anyone thinks this isn't likely to be a long term proposition. For a start, I'm not quite sure what could possibly make Bergdorf too toxic for an org with the MO of Mermaids. But also, this one of those written in ths stars team ups that gives the observer the same feeling as happening across a real life dog turd that looks exactly like the emoji.
