Apparently she’d wanted to write about the trans issue for ages but had been specifically told not too...she sounds very bruised by it all

It's a shame she's getting flack in the Spectator comments. Apparently she said something mean to/about Jordon Peterson and his fans are gunning for her. Considering Peterson is a free speech fan I'm not sure he'd be that keen on the petty nastiness she is getting as they seem to be mainly pleased she is having a hard time rather than criticising what she has said.

BeetrootRocks · 12/03/2020 19:17

I was also a bit Hmm at the freaks thing, it doesn't feel positive to me.

Lamahaha · 12/03/2020 19:29

...The Spectator? Can't see the whole piece.

I'm not sure how this happened, but I get five free articles a month, and they keep offering me a free trial subscription.
This was my third free article this month, see small print in the black banner.

The Speccy: you can register without taking up a subscription which will allow you to read five articles a month. I recommend Douglas Murray’s latest, around Suzanne Moore’s original column

Justhadathought · 12/03/2020 21:07

Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be and they have just made it impossible to copy paste from articles. Very annoying

I've just signed up for a subscription.....am looking for any excuse not to click on the Guardian's free link.

HarrietThePi · 12/03/2020 21:53

If you register I think you get 5 articles a month for free. I'm considering subscribing to a newspaper, to give a bit of support to real journalism. Any recommendations actually? Money is tight so I don't want to waste it.

I enjoy reading the Spectator but many of the people who comment online are awful and criticise anyone who isn't very right wing and seem appalled that all these people with different views have infiltrated "their" magazine.
I think many of them are from the US judging from the pro Peterson comments that mentioned God more than we tend to. He has been ill and is a good saintly man so no-one should say anything mean about him ever

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 13/03/2020 09:01

Peterson fans seem to work like the Candyman, just say his name and some will turn up.

MarieIVanArkleStinks · 13/03/2020 10:31

Trans woman resigning because she doesn't feel safe. I have empathy with her.

I was born female, and haven't felt safe since my teens. And probably not before then.

Welcome to the club, sister.

WeetabixBananaHipsterFFS · 13/03/2020 11:48

Peterson fans

I always wonder what their actual fathers are like.

YippeeKayakOtherBuckets · 13/03/2020 11:55

I feel like Suzanne would be great company on a night out.

Teateaandmoretea · 14/03/2020 08:50

The thing that is ridiculous is I read Suzanne's articles. Sometimes I agree with her sometimes I don't. Why does disagreement have to be such a big deal over certain issues? Why are certain people's views tolerated and others disregarded?

Psilocybin truffles in Amsterdam? How very 1970s. Surprised people still bother.
