I just care across this on Twitter - can anyone see if it is working for you?

Diva’s “LGBTQI Women’s Insight Survey”. The first question is “what is your gender identity”

I tried “don’t know” - apparently this makes me ineligible.

I tried “prefer not to say” - again, ineligible.

Is it just me or is this a pretty exclusionary survey, as many many lesbian, bisexual & intersex women reject the concept of gender identity? Are our voices somehow unimportant because we don’t believe in souls and accept our reality as biologically sexed humans?

I know Diva is a lost cause, but this is just such blatant bigoted discrimination, my flabber is a little ghasted.

Yeah. Well, Diva is a bit like Our Sunday Visitor for Genderists. You only really get anything out of it if you're a true believer.

If you can muster an ‘eligible’ answer to gender identity/assigned at birth, there are a LOT of free text boxes later on where you can be more honest

Including this gem

So far, this is the only question about media coverage of specific groups within ‘LGBTQIA’ - and it’s about ‘some lesbians attitudes to trans women’ Hmm

So I answered woman/girl, female, heterosexual and apparently that made me ineligible for the survey.

Cwenthryth · 10/03/2020 22:48

Well....... I can’t disagree with heterosexuals being ineligible for a survey of experiences of lesbians (purportedly)

I do object to being excluded for personally rejecting gender identity - I’m still a bisexual woman!

I do hear you, but that was the point of the screening questions - they only want to hear from compliant genderist lesbians, so they can say they did a survey and it showed them they were doing everything right. The safest way to ensure that is to screen the uppity ones out to begin with.

It was probably the only way to appease the TRA censors who probably insist on vetting everything Diva publishes.
