No it wasn’t Cupid’s fault it was Male violence.

Heartbreaking.

The world is just saturated with hatred of women.

So sad. These poor women. Mexico has a horrendous amount of women killed. It also has a lot of women and girls going missing too.

This has been an issued for a while. I've been growing old in Mexico and we've finally got a decent president. Unfortunately it has been well over fifty years since the last decent president so he has a lot on his place. Under the previous presidents, very few murders were even investigated, you had to wait 72 hours before reporting someone as disappeared and then the authorities didn't bother to look for them. In one year, 2011, in just one state, over one thousand murdered women were buried in common graves without any DNA samples being taken for their future identification.

We had a huge march in the 8th and a day without women on the 9th, but the supporters of the previous presidents tried to use this to blacken the president we have. I just hope that this is a wake up call for the institutions.

The way the media reported on it was also abhorrent. I pray things improve Coyoacan. There does seem to be a sense that this is unacceptable. I hope it sticks.

There has always been a type of "newspaper" here in Mexico that is absolutely foul, putting photos post-mortem of victims of violence and accidents on the front page. I doubt anything will be done about them, unfortunately.
