This is really chilling and not at all surprising.
There was a trans activist incident last year (a civil matter) I wanted to assist someone with and I rang a certain, well-known law firm. They told me they couldn't take the case because there was a 'conflict'. I pointed out I hadn't even told them the name of the opposing party so how on earth could they know there was a 'conflict'?
