Ross Tucker was interviewed, he is a member of World Rugby’s Transgender Working Group. He started ‘Rugby has a few specific issues around contact that other sports may not, the physicality of the game. There are questions that need to be addressed around whether a person who transitions from male to female retains a degree of strength, size, bulk, speed, power which then might create imbalances that might lead to safety concerns. We had to address all the arguments in order to make an informed decision………’
