Some woke bloke on Twitter has just told me that a gay person is anyone who identifies as such. Like, Oscar Wilde was the only gay in 1895 -must've been! Nobody else was identifying as such, were they?
I asked him why gay people at risk of homophobia didn't just identify as straight, then. No reply. There never bloody is.
