I bet boys are still real though.

Wow is Canada starting to wake up? It's actually going forward.
In its application to have the matter dismissed at the summary hearing stage, the school board argued that classroom discussions about gender identity and gender expression cannot be the basis of a Human Rights Code infringement. In its response, the Justice Centre argued on behalf of the family that gender identity is a new concept which is poorly defined and logically convoluted. As a protected ground under the Code, it is important that the Tribunal develop a body of case law to understand the limits and manifestations of discrimination under this ground, especially when it conflicts with protections previously in existence, namely that of sex – particularly for women and girls.

What a time to be alive Hmm

Langbannedforsafeguardingkids · 02/03/2020 10:46

That poor girl. Good on the parents for taking it to court.

Neolara · 02/03/2020 10:49

That's all just completely nuts.

Sadly, it does look like progress, for Canada.

“If everyone has a gender identity, and gender identities are protected under the Code, then NB’s gender identity as a girl should be protected,” said Justice Centre staff lawyer Lisa Bildy. “If the School Board can accommodate the inclusion of trans and other gender identities into the classroom setting, then surely they can accommodate the inclusion of children who experience no discord between their biology and their sense of self.”

It's absolutely insane.

She was told to pick somebody on the poster of a sex spectrum, picked the very girly girl, and was then told girls don't exist.

But it's all okay because these children are also taught about gender identity and sex changes.

What the fuck is a sex change if there is no such thing as a sex?

NB went home and told her parents, repeatedly asking why her identity as a girl was “not real.” She stated that she was not sure if she wanted to be a mommy when she grew up, and asked if she could “go to the doctor” about this issue. NB also expressed feeling that she “had to do something” about the fact that she is a girl. This followed a lesson by the teacher on the concepts of gender spectrum and sex changes.

It's absolutely nauseating that in our current world, there are so many people, so many resources, and so much money involved in teaching little children that there is no such thing as girls.

I can't believe that there is a legal infrastructure set up around this concept and whether or not it's true.

I had a similar thing happen with my 5 year old and felt so, so sad for my son.
It wasnt nearly as bad as this girl in Canada, not in the slightest. He wasn't as far as I know, told that girls or boys aren't real.

He did, however come home one day with something on his mind, I had to probe a bit, but he was genuinely upset and seemed to think he might grow up to be a girl.
He said "mummy, I don't want to be a girl when I grow up, I want to stay being a boy"

He's FIVE FFS.

I was really upset for him, having to unravel all this nonsense they're being told, I can only imagine how this family feel for that poor girl and in fact all the girls at that school.

PreseaCombatir · 03/03/2020 01:44

So a little girl, who fully identifies as being the pinkest jelly baby in the bag, has still managed to go home requesting to ‘see a doctor’.
Nothing to see here.....

Good on her parents, I hope they get the right outcome. It enraging

LangClegTheBeardedVulture · 03/03/2020 06:39

I really hope they win, this shows just how damaging those bullshit and damaging fucking sex spectrum diagrams are.
I’m going to request all the teaching material for the LGBT portion of my DDs PSHE curriculum and if I find the genderbread man or that Barbie/ GI Joe continuum I will be pointing the school to this case.

This ideology has been creeping into schools by stealth for some time, aided and abetted by a deliberate misrepresentation of the Equality Act 2010 by organisations like Stonewall to schools.

A couple of years ago I had a conversation with someone from the Sex Education Forum about this issue. This is what I was told by someone from an organisation that advises schools about how to teach sex education:

That organising 5-6 year-olds in two lines (boys on one side, girls on the other) to go out of the classroom door to assembly was “not advisable”;

That if a child asked me “so is X a girl now?” and I answered “No” and explained why, that this would be “problematic“;

That if a parent expressed concern that their 9-year-old daughter was now changing for PE with a boy, I should simply say to them “It’s the law” and that they could take it up with the head teacher if they didn’t agree.

Most teachers trust organisations like Stonewall And their associates (of which the Sex Education Forum is one) because they are endorsed by the DfE. They would have no reason to think the advice they were given was wrong.

How do pedophiles tell the difference then?
