They argued their case to the Canadian Supreme Court, which is part of the reason I'm rolling my eyes at the "oh they just didn't try hard enough" stuff.

I've asked for the letter to be shared on Twitter to shed light on how far this insanity has gone and how so-called progressive nations have embraced the lie that men can become women and that women and children are now suffering as a result.

Bearing in mind this letter is a justification on why funding should be withdrawn from a society supporting women who have been raped, the must hateful line for me here is “The city is also committed to ensuring every person across Vancouver is able to participate in society and supported to reach their full potential.”

Well, unless that person happens to be a natal woman that is. Especially a woman who has been raped.

In these cases, the City won’t support her.

In these cases, the City deems these women not worthy of funding or supporting to participate in society or achieve their full potential.

Why?

It’s about inclusivity, the City says.

But it’s not really. It’s really about victim-blaming misogyny. Misogyny that uses inclusivity as a excuse to withdraw funding for people, the City deems not worthy.

As @ChickenonaMug points out, there is an exception (near identical to our own, in extremely troubling fact) which allows for a service to be provided on a single sex basis if, "the exclusion of some group is required for another group to be effectively targeted".

They were approached by the council to check whether a women's rape support charity now serviced males. The council already knew the answer - they already knew it didn't. The charity are internationally famous for being the last hold-out on this score. They were clearly asked with the decision already made. It's grandstanding, no more nor less.

This charity have had women turn up for therapy to be met by dead rats nailed to the door. More than once. Death threats. That is what people are choosing to support.

Some men really, really cannot stand the word 'no'.

That's why the charity exists.

I mentioned about the threats in my original email @wellbehavedwomen and they didn't even bother to address them in their response. They simply don't care. After all, those uppity women had it coming to them...

They are defunding an organisation who help women violently attacked by people with penises, for being unwilling to allow people with penises entry to their services.

This. This is where we are in 2020.

I made a point of mentioning that the world's watching and their obvious hatred women and lack of concern for the abuse they've suffered has now been laid bare for all to see.

I doubt they care, but felt it needed to be said.
