Declare Yourself patches

Etsy shop selling anti-terf slogans on patches.

www.etsy.com/uk/shop/SlayShop

Thought I'd have a mooch around. The equivalent hate meted out towards terfs and nazis is fairly to be expected.

Some gay terminology (otter, twink), some queer things (aro, pan).

But some baffled me:

  • Sinning is winning
  • Trans and got hands
  • Dead men don't rape
  • Not your mom, not your milk

I appreciate that this is selling 'wokeness' and the irony of some.of the anti-capitalist messages isn't lost on me.

But I would appreciate someone explaining the four above phrases to me please?

I thought this was going to be about HRT patches.
But given the zeitgeist, I expect they're on their way.

"Not your mom, not your milk"

That's a vegan saying - ie milk from a cow is intended for their calf, not for you.

Is ‘Dead man’ to do with dead naming and that they aren’t a man anymore so can’t rape?

" Dead men don't rape" is an old song by Feminist band 7 year bitch. The song blames men for sexual violence against women.

Thanks. Feels a bit, well, feminist though doesnt it?

I remember writing dead men don't rape on rape apologist posters in my student union a zillion years ago!

HexagonsHecateAndHecuba · 19/02/2020 11:32

Yes, I suppose so! That'll never do!! 😂

I must admit to being tempted by a couple of the patches (No person is illegal, make housing affordable again and friends not food) but think I'm past the patches on bags/jackets phase of my life!!

StandWithYou · 19/02/2020 11:33

Never heard of it before but seems so obvious now.

£4 for those patches is way too much
