22 counts of rape, 4 of false imprisonment. It was "all consensual" [hmm]

Solo 45 a rapper is accused of rapes and false imprisonment over a two year period, lots of it recorded. He terrorised his victims (allegedly) and they had multiple injuries. His defence of course is that it was all consenual and why would he put his freedom at risk when he was becoming so successful?

Familiar and so depressing

I've been following this case for a year now and it is horrific. It started last January, if I remember correctly, but had to be abandoned part way through as the poor lamb wasn't well (I wasn't well from reading about what he did to those women). It started again a few weeks ago. I feel awful for the jury having to watch the videos, and of course the women having to have videos of their 'alleged' rapes played.

ArranUpsideDown · 13/02/2020 09:25

What a truly horrific case for all the reasons you give. Having to watch a video of your own assault!

CuriousaboutSamphire · 13/02/2020 09:31

Oh! Him!!! Blech!

Him Big Man Have Good Sex; His Word Good!

Them Sluts Like Big Man, Know Good Sex. Slut Words Bad

Case closed! Fuckwit!

QuentinWinters · 13/02/2020 09:39

I had a thread about it last year, it is horrific.
It seems like is defence is because he has found one woman who says she liked it and it wasn't rape, you can't believe the women who say it was rape.
I think if he gets off this will be a landmark of how far we have gone. I'm not going to say more now because I dont want the thread to be pulled.

slipperywhensparticus · 13/02/2020 09:43

Well he sounds a delight

TheQueef · 13/02/2020 09:48

Fucking creature.
First time I've read about this Prince amongst men. Angry

DuLANGMondeFOREVER · 13/02/2020 16:44

This is essentially the same old consensual rough sex/sex game gone wrong defence we’ve seen time and time again, only this time there are 4 victims who are alive and able to testify.

Some rather nasty descriptions of his idea of sex play on this BBC article from yesterday. Please don’t click if you aren’t up to reading them right now: www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.bbc.co.uk/news/amp/uk-england-bristol-51478517

31 charges in all. There is video footage of him raping 3 of the victims. If this doesn’t end in conviction our justice system is surely beyond fucked?

OvaHere · 13/02/2020 16:55

I remember the previous thread on this. As Quentin says the outcome of this trial will speak for itself about where things are at for sex crime conviction.

It makes for grim reading.

PeaceTeaResistance · 13/02/2020 17:46

... spoke of dacryphilia, which is sexual arousal from tears.

What do you call a man who gets oh-so-very hard at the sight and sound of terrified, terrorised women?

Dangerous? Sadistic? Psycho/sociopathic?

A RAPIST?

..... the correct answer is dacryphile.... Look, it's got a name, it's clearly a legitimate and unthreatening kink.

I can't get over the fact that it's now considered helpful to the case of the 'alleged' rapist for him to stand up in court and say 'yeah I get so hard when women are crying''...

TheQueef · 13/02/2020 17:49

Someone should set the bastard on fire.
Pure cruelty.

Siameasy · 14/02/2020 08:21

“Throat holding”
Weasel words. Strangling

VettiyaIruken · 14/02/2020 08:29

He'll get off. It seems it's now acceptable to the judicial system for women to be abused and even killed as long as a Man says they wanted it.

I agree with you all. How on earth could that woman (FWB) stand up in court to defend him??

"It's the sex I have" he kept repeating. The sheer entitlement. What a vile human being.

It's starting to seem like there's a green light for some men to abuse and rape women in the knowledge that later they can say "she wanted it really" and that's case closed. It's worrying.

Morning, everyone.

Just a reminder that this case is ongoing. We'll have to delete any speculation or anything that might be seen to prejudice a jury so if you could take care with your posts, that would be great.

Thanks!

DandelionsAreNotLions · 14/02/2020 11:38

I wasn't speculating, was vaguely discussing something admitted to court on public record.

I'll take my deletion , but it better not be a strike.

Thank goodness. Less than a delay of deliberations too

StarintheMorning · 11/03/2020 22:18

I’m assuming he can appeal? I’m sure he will - more fear for those poor women.

RoyalCorgi · 12/03/2020 09:26

I've read the news report in the Guardian today. What he did to those women was horrifying - it wasn't only rape, he tortured them too, including waterboarding them. He videoed what he did and the videos were so disturbing the judge sent the public out of court so they couldn't do it.

I am beyond angry that the defence counsel was allowed to use a defence of "consensual sex". How can anyone consent to being tortured?
